Overview
The goal of this new $22M, 70,000 SF project was to provide a high quality, high profile facility that would enhance the performance, recruiting, reputation and image of the Blue Devil Football program. The construction of the new Yoh Football Center was the beginning of a building expansion effort to solidify its campus football facilities into elite status.
The new state-of-the-art fitness, training and office facility was designed to be a showpiece on the campus, and is located adjacent to the existing Wallace Wade Football Stadium. The building houses training and weight lifting facilities, team meeting rooms, hydro therapy rooms, coaches’ offices, locker rooms, and recruiting and alumni entertaining areas.
The project was fast tracked with multiple phases and construction packages. A strong partnering relationship between the owner, design team and contractors resulted in construction completion in less than 8 months. This achieved the goal of opening the facility for the start of the fall football season.
