Baltimore, Md. – RMF Engineering announced today that Vance Nall, PE, division manager of RMF’s Atlanta office, was named to Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s 2016 “40 Under 40” list. He was honored alongside 39 other nonresidential building industry professionals age 40 and younger who were nominated by a colleague or mentor and judged based on nine criteria including their commitment to excellence in their academic, professional, personal and community involvement.
“We’re pleased – but not surprised – that Vance received this impressive recognition,” said Duane Pinnix, president of RMF Engineering. “Vance has made an impact on the firm since he started his career here as an intern 15 years ago. He’s a natural leader whose commitment to delivering first-rate engineering solutions to our clients has never wavered. We’re fortunate to have him on our team and we’re happy that CSE has recognized his outstanding contributions.”
Nall began his career at RMF while pursuing his engineering degree, completing four co-op student employment rotations before officially joining the firm’s HVAC group in 2001. After honing his expertise in thermal infrastructure systems, he was selected to start a branch office for RMF in Atlanta in 2011. In the five years since, RMF’s presence in the Atlanta market has significantly expanded – revenues have grown to more than $1.2 million and the client base has considerably risen. In 2015, Nall was promoted to partner.
Nall is an active member of the International District Energy Association (IDEA), currently serving on the organization’s editorial committee and previously serving as technical chair. He has also been an active participant in IDEA’s distribution workshops. He holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University.
Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s “40 Under 40” winners will be presented with their awards at a ceremony in Chicago on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
