RMF Names Two New Partners Following Continued Growth in North Carolina and Ohio

Baltimore, Md. — RMF Engineering announced today the appointments of two new partners: Alan Cave, PE, LEED AP, division manager of the buildings division in the firm’s North Carolina offices, and Vincent Jarrett, PE, division manager in the firm’s Ohio office. The appointments come after Cave and Jarrett contributed to significant growth in revenue and projects in RMF’s North Carolina and Ohio offices, respectively. Cave successfully began leading the North Carolina buildings team in 2015 and subsequently doubled the team’s revenue. Jarrett launched the Ohio office’s civil engineering team in 2014 and has since further grown the firm’s traditional engineering practice in Ohio. As partners, Cave and Jarrett will assume responsibility for RMF’s overall expansion in their respective areas of expertise, and continue to use their leadership and technical skills to build upon RMF’s success in these regions.

“Alan and Vince’s appointments to partner support our larger vision for growth in North Carolina and Ohio. They have both proven to be invaluable leaders who are committed to developing and diversifying RMF’s portfolio, maintaining high quality client service and embodying the core values that we prize here at RMF,” said Duane Pinnix, president and CEO of RMF. “It is rare to find technically strong engineers who also thrive in a leadership role, so when we find them we make them a significant part of the management team.”

Cave is an electrical engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the architecture / engineering industry. In addition to doubling the revenue of the North Carolina buildings team, Cave bolstered the North Carolina office’s healthcare portfolio, making healthcare a major component of the office’s workload. He has worked on a number of notable projects for clients such as Rex Hospital, National Institutes of Health, North Carolina State University, Wake Technical Community College, and others. He is currently working with Duke University Medical Center to design and construct a 500,000-square-foot hospital.

Cave is a LEED Accredited Professional with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina.

Jarrett is a civil engineer with nearly 20 years of experience in civil / site engineering design and construction administration projects. Jarrett spearheaded the development of RMF’s civil engineering team in Ohio, expanded the office’s traditional engineering practice and enhanced RMF’s work with its core clients. Most notably, he helped Ohio University switch from coal to natural gas, reducing the university’s carbon footprint by 15% and saving the university nearly $1 million annually in fuel costs. He is currently working to expand RMF’s Ohio office into a full service engineering office.

Jarrett is a licensed professional engineer with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from The Ohio State University.
