RMF has been awarded top regional honors by ASHRAE, an international technical society, for six projects in Charleston, S.C. The Baltimore-based firm opened a full-service office in Charleston in 2003.
Each of the awards recognized RMF’s use of a range of innovative technologies, including energy recovery. Winning projects must incorporate elements of innovative building design in the areas of occupant comfort, indoor air quality (IAQ), and energy conservation.
“These are all groundbreaking projects in the region,” said David Crutchfield, who leads RMF’s Charleston office. “They show how broad the range is of the design work we’re doing and they’re a testament to the owners’ willingness to implement sophisticated technology in their buildings.”
The first place Charleston Chapter Technology Awards, which qualify RMF to move onto ASHRAE’s southeast regional awards competition, were for the following projects:
