RMF Engineering Promotes Alan Cave to Division Manager of North Carolina Office, Buildings Division

Baltimore, Md. – RMF Engineering announced today that Alan Cave, PE, LEED AP, has been promoted to division manager of the buildings division at the firm’s North Carolina office. In his new role, Cave is leading and managing the division, which consists of office staff in Raleigh and other staff led by Avery Monroe in Charlotte, N.C. Cave is responsible for strategic direction, leadership and development of all building’s team members, as well as overseeing the management of all RMF buildings projects in North Carolina.

Cave will also continue to help position RMF as a leader in the region and as the preferred building and utility engineering consultancy and service provider.

Cave is an electrical engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the architecture / engineering (A/E) industry. He is a LEED-accredited professional whose experience includes extensive building infrastructure design focused in laboratory and healthcare, academic housing and classroom, administrative office, performing arts and preservation. He has worked on a number of notable projects for clients such as Duke University Medical Center, North Carolina State University, Rex Hospital, National Institute of Health, Environmental Protection Agency, Wake Technical Community College, and others.

Currently, Cave is a participant in RMF’s leadership development program (LDP), a 20-month internal program meant to grow the firm’s mid-level leadership and prepare them for higher strategic positions at the firm.
