Baltimore, Md. — RMF Engineering announced today that Robert Clegg, PE, LEED AP, has been appointed to partner. Clegg leads RMF’s Commissioning teams in both the Raleigh and Charlotte North Carolina offices and was named partner after successfully developing the firm’s commissioning teams and services. As RMF’s first fulltime commissioning professional in the Southeast region, Clegg has grown the team to more than a dozen commissioning employees in four Southeast offices; served as lead commissioning agent on large construction projects in North America, Asia and the Middle East; and built and trained RMF’s team of commissioning professionals. As partner, Clegg will continue to drive the growth of RMF’s commissioning services in North Carolina, while continuing to support the development of commissioning services throughout the Southeast.

Clegg is a mechanical engineer with more than 15 years of experience in the architecture / engineering industry. The last 12 years of his career have been focused solely on commissioning facilities with complex engineering systems such as the Raleigh Convention Center, East Carolina University’s Cardiovascular Institute, UNC-Wilmington’s Marine Biology Center and the new U.S. embassy in the Philippines. He has worked on a number of notable projects for clients such as Mission Health, the U.S. Department of State, North Carolina State University, Duke University and more. He is currently working with UNC Hospital to commission their new 500,000-square-foot bed tower which is currently under design.
Clegg is a LEED Accredited Professional with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University. He is also a registered professional engineer in the state of North Carolina.
