RMF provided the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection design for this new state-of-the-art Volvo Training Center in Summerville, SC. The new two-story vocational education training center serves the automotive industry and neighboring community in a hands-on and technically-advanced learning environment. The training center houses 2,500 SF of a flexible simulated work environment allowing for reconfiguration as the automotive industry and associated technology evolves. The new facility is part of the larger campus including three other major buildings, an assembly plant, body shop and paint shop. The facility was designed to teach mechanics at dealerships nationwide how to repair the increasingly complicated technologies that run the Swedish automaker’s newest models.
