Research One is a 75,000 SF building that contains offices and laboratories, with approximately 22,000 SF of high bay research space. The flexible design accommodates research work by both the university and start-up companies looking to enter the automotive industry. RMF worked with the University and design team to understand the desire and need for future flexibility and designed the MEP systems to fit that model. Current tenants include JTEKT North America Corp., a leader in automotive and industrial product solutions that chose the building for its North American headquarters; Clemson Computing & Information Technology; and the Risk Engineering and Systems Analytics Center of the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences. The building was designed and built to achieve LEED Silver design and construction requirements.
