This new student housing complex at CCU includes 333,100 SF and 1,270 beds on campus for first year students in a multi-phase project. The residence halls have double loaded corridors with junior suites / semi-suites, providing double occupancy bedrooms and a minimum of one bathroom with a separate vanity and lockable water closet per semi-suite. Community spaces are also provided on each floor with a ratio of two large community spaces, one quiet student room and one living room, per 35 residences.
Full wireless and wired internet connectivity, access control and security systems, high efficiency laundry machines, custodial and maintenance storage, apartments for live-in staff as well as professional offices, reception and meeting space are provided in the residence halls.
In addition to the residence halls, classroom, meeting, recreational spaces and a separate office building with 20-25 offices for University Housing Administration are included in the project.
The project is striving for a minimum LEED Silver Certification through the USGBC.
