RMF was contracted by Campbell University to provide full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for the New Oscar N. Harris Student Union. This two-story, 110,000 SF building is located in the heart of campus adjacent to the academic circle.
The New Student Union is a stand-alone building including its own machine room housing water cooled chillers with cooling towers on the roof. The heating water and domestic hot water was provided by efficient condensing boilers and plate + frame heat exchangers. Air handling units are located on the roof along with the kitchen exhaust fans and make up air handling units serving the food service and 16 total kitchen exhaust hoods.
