Vincent G. Basilio, PE, CEM

Principal

Vince Basilio is a Mechanical Engineer with over 27 years of experience managing large steam and heating projects for the RMF Baltimore Infrastructure Department. Early on in his career, he determined to learn everything there was about steam and condensate systems and today is considered one of the country’s leading experts in those systems. Vince specializes in planning, design, and construction administration for central thermal generation and distribution systems primarily for steam and hot water. Vince’s technical expertise focuses on custom engineering. His team creates as-builts prior to starting anything else and takes the time on-site to see what will work for these clients. He stands behind, “one design does not fit all,” and making sure that each system is designed safely. Vince believes in constant communication and documentation throughout the process. He has authored several technical articles as a subject matter expert on steam generation and distribution systems.

Some of Vince’s successes have included providing a one-of-a-kind thermal waste processing plant for the USDA, providing a cogeneration system for a world-renowned university, and making distribution systems more efficient and safer.

Vince is a licensed professional engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware. He is certified by the Association of Energy Engineers as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), a Certified Green Building Engineer (CGBE), Maryland State Commissioned Special Inspectors (MD-CSI) and a National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessels Inspector.
