Jim Riches joined RMF in 1994 and is a manager in RMF’s Structural Department. He has over 26 years of experience specializing in central cooling and heating plant and design as well as structural assessments of parking garages and utility tunnels on various campuses. This unique niche has established him as one of the most experienced structural designers of campus utility plants, tunnels, vaults, and utility manholes in the country. Jim has enjoyed the collaboration and excitement of working with teams to create world-class utility generation and distribution systems that are easy to access, maintain, and expand in the future.
Jim is a licensed professional engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Architectural Engineering from Drexel University. He is a member of the American Concrete Institute and has authored technical articles as a subject matter expert on structural systems.
