Andy Hay joined RMF in 2008 and now manages the Infrastructure Electrical team in the Northeast. His team focuses on planning, design, construction, start-up, and commissioning of medium and low voltage power systems to support central utility plants, combined heat and power facilities and electrical distribution systems for large campuses, including higher education, laboratory / research facilities, private corporations, and government installations. Andy has been responsible for high reliability electrical distribution, substations and generation systems in both new and renovated facilities for RMF’s clients throughout the US. He and his team also have experience performing power system studies including, protective device coordination, arc flash assessments, harmonic studies, and load flow analyses.
In addition to managing the team, Andy develops strategic plans for the team’s overall growth and development, oversees and ensures client satisfaction for all projects from conception to completion, and supports the design staff by providing guidance, quality assurance and hands-on project management.
Andy is a licensed professional engineer and holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Alfred University. He is a Certified Commissioning Agent (CxA) and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Andy is also a member of the UL 1558 standards committee.
