This fall, I took my son and one of his friends to a local city council meeting in a small community. The purpose of the outing was to fulfill one of the requirements to earn the Boy Scout Communications merit badge. This badge is a prerequisite for all Scouts seeking to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. Just as I once pursued the rank of Eagle many years ago, my son is now on the same path.
