Baltimore, Md. – RMF Engineering announced today that seven, high-performing employees graduated from the firm’s second Leadership Development Program (LDP): Alan Cave, Timothy Chatterton, Robert Clegg, Joseph D’Alu, Raymond Krick, Todd Smith and Seth Spangler. The 20-month educational program guided the participants through coursework covering strategic planning, financial accounting, human resources, business development and communication. At the conclusion of the program, each participant developed a business plan around a growth opportunity for the firm. The graduation ceremony was held on Sunday, November 19 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.
LDP is an internal, educational program meant to develop the firm’s employees and successfully prepare them to take on key leadership roles moving forward.
“Throughout the A/E industry, firms are facing the consequences of not putting a clear succession plan in place. The focus of our program is to take our team members who are already highly skilled engineers and grow them into well-rounded leaders who have the tools to successfully run the firm in the future,” said Duane Pinnix, president and CEO of RMF. “All seven of this year’s participants achieved Competent Communicators Certification through Toastmasters International, graduated from the Rapport Leadership Training and were either published in a relevant trade publication or presented at an industry trade show. We are very happy with the progress our second graduating class made and look forward to seeing them each grow further into firm leadership roles.”
