Baltimore, Md. – RMF Engineering announced today that Brian Wodka, PE, CEM, LEED AP, leader of the firm’s infrastructure group in the York, Pennsylvania office, has been appointed to partner. Wodka’s appointment comes after successfully doubling the size of the Pennsylvania office, developing new service offerings and increasing overall firm revenue. In his new and expanded role, Wodka will lead RMF’s Pennsylvania office as well as the mechanical systems assessment specialty area of the firm, while continuing to lead client projects.
“Empowering and motivating our engineers to take on new responsibilities and grow their skill sets is a critical focus for us here at RMF. A few years ago, we instated a Leadership Development Program to create more fluid owner transitions and to prepare our most promising employees to become partners,” said Duane Pinnix, president and CEO of RMF. “Upon completion of the program in 2013, Brian continuously proved that he has mastered not only technical engineering skills but also the many business and leadership skills needed to strategically position, continuously grow and effectively represent the firm. That’s the mark of a great partner, and we are excited to watch him grow in his new role.”
A mechanical engineer, project manager and published author, Wodka has extensive experience in the design and engineering of heating plants and distribution systems for large campuses including higher education, laboratory / research facilities, private corporations and government installations. He has been credited with RMF’s success in developing the assessment, remaining life and reliability analysis elements of the firm’s comprehensive services model – a model that has been key to differentiating RMF from its competitors.
“I have spent my entire career at RMF Engineering, learning, growing and contributing to the firm’s success – as have many of my co-workers. That says a lot about the culture that has been created here and I’m honored to be named partner of the firm that has shaped my career,” said Wodka. “I look forward to working with the other partners to further expand our vision for RMF’s Pennsylvania office and continue to position RMF as a leader in full service engineering.”
Having performed power plant assessments and boiler inspections for the last 14 years, Wodka also leads the power plant assessment and reliability team at RMF. He is also the co-chairman of ASME’s committee for developing standards for reliability, availability, and maintainability of power plants (RAM).
Wodka holds a bachelor of engineering degree from SUNY Maritime Academy and a master of engineering degree from Johns Hopkins.
