Steven Buckler, PE

Principal

Steven Buckler is a Principal within the Civil/Structural Division in the firm’s Baltimore Office. He specializes in the design, specification, and construction administration of underground utility systems including utility tunnels, high pressure steam, hot water, chilled water, fuel oil, potable water, power, communications, gas, storm, and sanitary piping systems. Steven routinely develops phasing strategies to minimize utility, vehicle, and pedestrian disruptions. He is also experienced in trenchless technologies, regulatory permit approvals, cost estimating, and site development projects including earthwork operations, grading, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater management.

Since joining the firm in 2011, Steven has exhibited exceptional leadership, performance, and growth and has been a significant contributor to the success of the Civil/Structural Division. He now leads design teams and manages the firm’s strategic relationships with several key clients in district energy, dedicating much of his work to federal, private, and higher education projects in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

As a subject matter expert and thought leader, Steven has presented at several industry conferences and events such as the International District Energy Association and American Society of Civil Engineers and has been published in District Energy Magazine.

Steven is a registered Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, and Infrastructure Engineering from George Mason University and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Johns Hopkins University.
