To further continue Penn State Health’s path to higher efficiency and more sustainable energy at their Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, their central plant was expanded and updated. RMF provided construction phase commissioning services.
RMF’s construction phase services included writing and reviewing the OPR and basis of design and construction documents / equipment packages; developing a commissioning plan, schedule and functional performance tests; developing prejunctional checklists; reviewing the contractor’s start up plan; facilitating controls integration meetings and start up planning meetings; developing a detailed “Synchronization Testing Plan;” attending construction site observations trips and witnessing startup of the first piece of each type of equipment and providing progress reports and maintaining a log of all identified commissioning issues.
Improvements commissioned by the RMF team included:
